Shipping & Insurance Policy

Effective date: March 17, 2026

This policy outlines shipping, handling, and insurance terms for submissions and returns.

1. Introduction

This Shipping and Insurance Policy explains how God Tier Grading Ltd (“GTG”, “we”, “us”, “our”) manages the shipment, handling, custody, insurance, and return of submitted items.

This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions and applies to all items submitted to GTG.

2. Standard Submission Value Limit

Standard submissions are designed for cards with an estimated market value of £1,000 or less.

Customers are responsible for assessing the estimated market value of their cards prior to submission.

By submitting cards through the standard submission process, the customer confirms that the estimated market value of each card does not exceed £1,000.

Cards believed to exceed this value must be submitted by prior arrangement with GTG so that appropriate handling, shipping, and insurance arrangements can be made.

3. Liability Limits

Per-Card Liability

GTG’s maximum liability for any individual card submitted through the standard submission process is:

£1,000 per card

Per-Submission Liability

A single submission may contain a maximum of 50 cards.

Based on the standard submission value limit, GTG’s maximum liability per submission is therefore:

£50,000 per submission

4. Customer Responsibility for Value

Customers are responsible for determining the estimated market value of cards prior to submission.

If a card exceeding the standard submission value limit is submitted without prior arrangement, GTG’s liability remains limited to the standard liability limits set out in this policy.

5. Custody of Cards

Cards submitted to GTG remain the property of the customer at all times.

While cards are in GTG’s possession they are stored securely and handled with appropriate care.

Cards are typically held on site only for the duration of the grading and encapsulation process.

6. Inbound Shipping (Customer → GTG)

Customers are responsible for:

  • packaging cards appropriately for shipment
  • selecting their preferred shipping method
  • insuring their shipment if desired

GTG is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit before they are received and recorded by GTG.

7. Receipt of Items

Items are considered received only once they have:

  • been physically delivered to GTG, and
  • been checked into our internal submission system.

Courier delivery confirmation alone does not constitute receipt by GTG.

8. Return Shipping (GTG → Customer)

Once grading is complete, cards will be returned using tracked courier services.

Depending on shipment value, GTG may require:

  • signature on delivery
  • enhanced shipping methods
  • additional insurance
  • alternative courier arrangements

GTG will take reasonable care in packaging and dispatching completed submissions.

Risk in returned items transfers to the customer once the shipment has been handed to the selected courier or delivery service.

9. High-Value Cards

Cards with an estimated market value above £1,000 must be arranged with GTG prior to submission.

This allows GTG to determine appropriate:

  • handling procedures
  • shipping arrangements
  • insurance requirements

GTG reserves the right to decline submissions or require special handling for unusually high-value items.

10. Loss or Damage While in GTG Custody

If a card is lost or damaged while in GTG’s recorded possession, GTG will assess the circumstances and determine whether compensation is payable under the liability limits set out in this policy.

GTG may consider:

  • the estimated market value of the card
  • available market data
  • evidence provided by the customer
  • the condition of the card at the time of submission

Any compensation will not exceed the applicable per-card or per-submission liability limits.

11. Claims

Any claim relating to loss or damage must be reported to GTG within 30 days of the return delivery date.

GTG may require supporting information in order to assess the claim, including:

  • order or submission details
  • photographs of the item and packaging
  • evidence supporting the estimated market value
  • proof of shipment or delivery where relevant
  • any other information reasonably required to investigate the circumstances

For quality assurance and security purposes, GTG may operate video monitoring within its processing and handling areas. Such recordings may be used to investigate claims relating to loss or damage.

Failure to report a claim within the specified timeframe or provide sufficient information may affect our ability to assess or process a claim.

GTG reserves the right to investigate all claims and determine whether compensation is payable in accordance with the applicable liability limits set out in this policy.

12. Exclusions

Unless required by law, GTG is not responsible for:

  • items lost or damaged before receipt by GTG
  • items improperly packaged by the customer
  • delays caused by courier or postal services
  • customs delays or charges
  • indirect or consequential losses
  • changes in market value
  • missed sales or investment opportunities
  • events outside GTG’s reasonable control

13. International Submissions

GTG’s services are initially intended for customers located within the United Kingdom.

International submissions may be supported in the future. Where such services become available, additional requirements relating to shipping, customs, import duties, taxes, and regulatory compliance may apply.

Customers will be responsible for complying with any applicable customs, export, import, or tax obligations associated with international shipments unless explicitly stated otherwise by GTG.

GTG will publish further guidance and requirements on the website if and when international submission services are introduced.

14. Policy Updates

GTG may update this Shipping and Insurance Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or insurance changes.

The latest version will always be published on our website.
